Fashion Design Studio ✨Where Imagination Becomes Iconic Calling all future designers, trendsetters, and creative minds! If you love putting together outfits, sketching ideas, or dreaming up your own clothing line, this class is for you. In Fashion Design Studio, students will step into the exciting world of fashion and learn how professional designers bring their ideas to life. From the very first sketch to designing complete outfits, students will build skills, confidence, and their own creative style. We begin with the foundations of fashion illustration by learning the fashion figure, how designers draw faces, hairstyles, hands, and movement. From there, students explore the art of flat sketching, the technique designers use to communicate clothing ideas clearly and professionally. Throughout the session students will learn how to design: • Tops, collars, and sleeves • Pants and pocket styles • Skirts and trims • Patterns and color combinations • Dress silhouettes and formal fashion looks Students will also experiment with fabrics, details, and color using pencils and design tools while building their own mini fashion portfolio. By the end of the class, each student will create a final design piece that showcases their personal style. This class is perfect for beginners as well as young artists who already love drawing and design. Learn from a Real Industry Designer Our instructor, Roberta Maxwell-Long, brings real fashion and design experience into the classroom. She has taught design and fashion illustration at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and UC Riverside Extension, inspiring students through creative, hands-on instruction. Fashion Design Lab for Future Designers Coastal Academy 3rd–8th Grade Tuesdays • 2:45–3:45 PM • 7 Classes • Total $90 ($10 per class + Non refundable $20 materials fee included) About Cannettic Energy At Cannettic Energy, we exist to spark creativity, confidence, and character in every student. Every enrichment class we offer blends hands-on learning with joy, imagination, and purposeful growth. Important Details: Students will meet outside near the field for a 5-Star Student ID check-in before heading to their activity with their CEnergy Teacher. Fashion class is held in room number 203 (upstairs). After class, students will be walked to the front of the school for pick-up at 3:45 PM. Please plan for on-time arrival.
